Graduate Training Program: Equipment & Service
The Trane Graduate Training Program (GTP) is a 5 month program followed by a 6 month on the job training and mentoring period designed to prepare engineers for a career in technical sales. The GTP develops Mechanical Engineers to sell complex heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and services to commercial and industrial customers including General Contractors, Consulting Engineers, Building Owners, Property Manages, Developers and Architects. The GTP will provide you with intensive technical, business, sales and leadership training.
Trane actively recruits graduating engineers from all disciplines with a focus on Mechanical for the GTP, and attracts applicants from major universities across Canada. To qualify for consideration you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, be technically competent and have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Graduate Sales Program: Controls & Building Automation
The Controls Graduate Training Program (CGTP) is designed to prepare engineers for a rewarding career in technical sales within Trane’s Energy Services business. The CGTP develops Trane Controls Account Managers to sell Trane’s portfolio of services and Building Automation Systems (Controls) to commercial and industrial customers. The CGTP will provide you with intensive technical, business, sales and leadership training and a strong understanding of how a buildings automation system is designed.
CGTP is a 5 month training program consisting of 14 weeks at the Trane St. Paul, MN Controls Headquarters and 4 weeks in your local office undergoing on the job training and mentorship.
